In the weeks following 2005's terrorist attacks in London, AAFS members from across Britain gathered to mourn the innocent lost life and publicly demonstrate our unity of faiths.

Since then we have journeyed hand-in-hand, and across continents, to offer prayers for peace at the most revered churches, temples and mosques in the history of human devotion.

Whether Hindu, Christian, Muslim or Sikh, all joined as one, kneeling in awe of Christ's compassion and suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane; clinging to the Western Wall precipice of the Jewish Holiest of Holies; gazing into the Heavens that welcomed the Prophet Mohammad's Ascension from within Al Aqsa mosque.

In November 2005, Hindu and Muslims together offered Eid du'a in Lahore's Datta Darbar mausoleum before crossing borders to celebrate Deepwali at the sanctum sanctorum of Sikhism in Amritsar's Golden Temple, all in one extraordinary dawn 'til dusk day.

Progressive religious leaders have joined our coalition of conscience at every step, such as 'Hindu Pope' Shankaracharaya Dibyananada, who invited Baba Ghai to share the stage during his 2004 address to the worldwide congregation in Guwahati, Assam.

Within our own hearts we have carried the memory of innocent lost lives throughout every step of this pilgrimage. It is our own eternal flame of unity and hope amidst despair.

We have also extended partnerships across the South East Asia to assist in an on-going project to compile comparative multi-lingual translations of religious scriptures.

This project intends to counter-act key misinterpretations of scripture and offer reliable insights which are accssible to all.
